Woodspeen Training
‘Woodspeen Training have worked closely with CSS for over 12 years. Throughout this time, Woodspeen Training have delivered a large number of Apprenticeship Training (Adult Care and Business Admin) to a large number of their employees.
Throughout this time I have been extremely impressed with the level of professionalism, communication and organisation displayed by CSS managers and staff. The managers are fully supportive of their staff’s training and development, this shows in the number of staff who have progressed in both their job role and with qualifications many of whom have done qualifications at Level 2, 3 and 5 in Adult Care.
In May 2019, as a result of CSS needing to recruit additional support staff we worked closely with Dawn Hartley to devise an ‘Introduction to Adult Care Course. Woodspeen Training worked with CSS and the local job centre to arrange an information session for prospective employees. Following the information event a number of people registered to complete the course. The feedback from the course was very positive. The candidates all reported that they found the course extremely beneficial and provided them with a sound foundation into their role within a care setting. Following the course CSS interviewed all the candidates and successfully employed four people. These four staff have then all progressed on to further training at CSS and with Woodspeen Training.
Over the years I have worked with CSS I have visited many different settings. At all times the one thing that stands out is the staff give 100% in the care they provide and how happy and involved the service users are in the different activities they are attending.
I would have no hesitation in recommending CSS to anyone who wanted to work for them or use their service.’

Family Member
‘CSS always go the extra mile to deliver outstanding care and support. They always provide a high level of care whilst maintaining the respect and dignity of their service users at all times.
We have complete trust in them looking after our family member, knowing they are able to deal with any issues that arise. They regularly work out solutions to really complex requirements.
They have won countless prestigious awards over the past few years which is testimony on how good they are. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending CSS’.

Pass-it-On Project
'Developing partnerships to help deliver workshops, particularly during the pandemic, which has put a strain on the mental health of everybody, is really important. We have been delighted to work with CSS to train peer supporters and ensure that people can get to learn more about mental health, talk about their feelings and share what helps them to stay happy and healthy.
CSS already recognise the importance of the wellbeing of the people they work with through wellbeing champions. Pass-it-on is an extra tool that they can use to help make sure that the people they work with can learn and share in groups that understand their experiences'.
